Player interactions were also specific to youth players. And the players actually benefited from that training, it wasn't just a moral boost as it is in FM. If you had an injury you could move a player into the first team for cover in that period, or if you just wanted a promising player to train for the first team for a little while you could do that to. You could invite youth players to train with the first team for a period of time, rather than just moving them back and forth b/w the youth and senior teams. Thats actually another thing that I liked. A player who'd been with the club from an early age would get elated when they got invited to train with the first team for the first time. Being able to track a talented player from age 9 to the first team was pretty cool. Youth teams started from the u10 up to the u21s, rather than just the two thats available in FM. In FIFA you could build youth camps all across the world, which is inline with what top clubs do. Youth teams: This for me is maybe the most frustrating part of FM and where FIFA was just miles ahead. Stats were available league wide and cross leagues as well, and even for youth teams. I can't list all the stats they had but i'll just say that rather than having that really silly team report that FM has, there was a comprehensive list of your team and player stats that ranged from what type of goal you scored at a particular time to what type of pass was most succesfull. Statistsics: This is something that is infuriating about FM, although they've expandend the stats for FM16 it still pales in comparison to FIFA. It got a little monotonous because the options were obviously limited but it was nonetheless much more immersive and kept you on your toes about the harmony of the squad. In FIFA you literally had to talk to your players every week or face disgruntlement. In fact I only ever talk to my players whenever they complain about playing time, wanting a transfer, or congratulating them for winning an award. In FM it doesnt really seem like there's any repercussions for not talking to your players. In fact you had to interact with them otherwise there would be repercussions, and you could make promises to each of the players anytime during the season that ranged from the short term to long term. As a manager there were much more options in interacting with the players. Cohesion amongst the players seemed to be as much as a factor as cohesion with the manager. Players formed links and relationships with each other based on how long the'yd been together. Player interactions: Both between the players and with the manager. I could go on about the things that FIFA did better but that would take too long and none of you would read it so here are just a few of things that were better in FIFA: I did, and switched to FM once it was discontinued, IMO I think it was a much better game than FM.

I've just been wondering how many of you guys ever played the now discontinued FIFA manager by EA.
